Yasam Sazmazer

This is Yasam Sasmazer‘s exhibition ‘Illuminated Darkness’. I liked the playfulness combined with fear – it’s not such a common combination when the emphasis seems to be more on play than fear. It’s open until 4th November at the Aubin Gallery.

I quite liked this exhibition space. I stumbled upon it – it’s a clothes shop and cinema as well as an exhibition space. I like that. There’s more of this combination thing going on recently in this way – concept stores I think they call it. Perhaps it requires more innovation and justification though – the exhibition had no bearing on the clothes, and the cinema showed normal films.

It did smell terribly of paint though.
